This is not a thank you or an endless poignant letter to remark about the brilliant person you are. Instead, I want to tell you about the first time I saw you and what that felt like. New career, new job, new people, new country, new bland food, Danish architecture and amidst all of it, a sense of belonging radiating only from one corner of the room. I didn't care if I didn't speak to the others, but I couldn't stop looking at you in that infamous blue sweater from the second you step foot into the room. I was used to the setting we were in, but upon your entry I felt like something shifted. No big thoughts or cheeky hidden glances, but the entire room disappeared that day. I remember for the first time I felt so nervous when I had to introduce myself to the entire room. Not because there were 16 odd people, but because who would I say I was? Do I want to tell the most beautiful girl in the world that I play chess and like esports? Rubbish, she would think I am weird. But this girl was so beautiful that my mind was blank and out came the exact same words. And who did I manage to impress? A random Croatian. I knew that I had destroyed all my luck. But the thing that stayed with me after all that time and will do so until the end, is the person who showed up to help me. You were so kind from the very beginning. Not a hint of difficulty in speaking to the most wonderful girl to grace any room she'd ever enter. I knew I was smitten. The curve of your lips when you giggled and smiled, your prim and proper clothes that showed how meticulous you were and most of all your eyes. Those damn eyes. One of my favourite movie quotes goes like - "The eyes chico, they never lie." I knew it from the start, that you would be mine. Not out of greed, or disrespect or my unreasonable ego. But because I knew I would do everything to love you and more, to give you all the love you have filled this world with. There was never a moment of doubt and there isn't any even today. I have been blessed by you my dear princess. I love you indefinitely and endlessly. For me everything starts and ends with you. No matter how angry (haha), happy, sad, excited, curious, glum or hyper you are, I will be there for it all. You and only you have made my life worth living cause I get to see and hear the girl of my dreams, every single day.
